For making a diy pallet desk you need some basic tools such as saw, hemmer, bolts and nails, glue and paints etc. along with some wooden pallets and table legs. Collect pallets of appropriate size for desk. If table legs are not available you can use some strong pallets as table legs.

Getting ready for work:
After collecting necessary materials, the next step is starting of construction of pallet desk. In the first step, sort out the pallets and choose the pallets of same size. You may use saw to make them of equal size. Sand the pallets to make them smooth so that you keep your things in the desk safely without any damage. First of all take legs and four pallets according to the length and width of desk and join them to create a frame for the base of desk. Use bolts for joining legs in the frame for sturdiness of pallet desk. In the next step top of desk will be shaped. Create two pallet board of 48” x 18.5” and join them with glue and nails for making the drawers in the desk. In the middle of desk top add a pallet support dividing the drawer into two portions for good usability and strength. In the last step join the base frame and top drawers.
Finishing Step:
After completion, sand the surfaces well and apply two or three coats of your selected paint. First coat should be thin so that it can hold all the surface fully regardless of smooth and rough. Finalize the painting step with a varnish coat for shiny finish and paint protection against damaging agents. You may use only two or three varnish coats to enhance shine and safety against weather keeping the original colors of wooden pallets. This will enhance the natural designs and colors present in wood and will assign a unique look to the area where you place the pallet desk.
