I am here once again to share my own wonderful experience of pallet patio daybed. This was one of the very amazing pallet projects. This was really a unique project for me as it was an outdoor pallet daybed. I also shared my project of strawberry pallet planter on this forum and got a very good response from many of you. With same passion and positive approach I am looking forward for this project’s feedback.
Build Your Own Daybed Frame:
The patio daybed was created to place in the area which I sunny only for part of the day. I created the base of the patio day bed by using four pallets of equal size. Using screws I attached the one pallet to the other after being stacked properly.
The pallets I used were in very good condition as you can also see in the pictures I have attached. I thought to put on wheels to the best but then didn’t do it as it was little costly as I had to buy the new wheels but then I thought that I will not move the diy pallet patio bed so often so it is better not to do that.
After completing the pallet daybed construction, the nest thing which was required was to have perfect mattress but it shouldn’t cost much as I was not having much amount for this project. What I did was to use a foam mattress from a guest bed. The size of the mattress and pallet bed was exactly equal but I manage it well in the end.
The solution I found was to slice a full plank off of all the four pallets I have used. When the weather was little changed or not suitable for pallet daybed I can easily remove it fold it and can keep it inside so it must not be like fixed with pallet patio bed. I didn’t spend much amount on this project it was almost negligible as I didn’t buy anything new for this project.
I also coated the pallet patio bed water based paint. It give a new look to my recycled diy pallet patio bed. I used six planks to crated attractive facing. It became a lovely plus complementary part of pallet patio furniture. To give a finishing look to this pallet furniture you can basically use wax and sand to make it smooth and shine.
